2025 PACHA 3RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop on Paediatric Non-Communicable Diseases Held in July 2025

 

In July 2025, PACHA  conducted a certified five-day Trainer of Trainers (ToT) training for Paediatric non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Salima, where nurses, clinicians, and doctors working in ten pilot districts of our project (Umoyo Wa Ana Athu – Our Children’s Health, funded by Else Kröner-Fresenius Stiftung) were capacitated with practical skills for managing paediatric non-communicable diseases. The participants were also oriented on the use of the Paeds NCD MW Android application, designed to support healthcare workers in the management of paediatric non-communicable diseases cases.

Objective

Advocacy

To act as advocates for the promotion of child health in Malawi at local, regional, national and international levels. To act as advocates for the children with special needs and all disadvantaged children.

Networking

To promote the dissemination of paediatric knowledge, through scientific meetings and other appropriate forum. To provide a forum for communication with fellow African Associations and other international and national bodies.

Quality Improvement And Audit

To facilitate our members to carry out quality improvement projects in their facilities and to share their findings will all members and a wider audience.

Educate

To provide a portal for freely available evidence based educational material for our members and the wider public.
