We are a network of professionals in Malawi who care for and care about children. The Paediatric and Child Health Association (PACHA) in Malawi is a non-profit organization established by paediatric and child healthcare professionals with the aim of improving children’s health in the country and region through Collaboration, Advocacy, Research and Education (CARE).

What We Believe

We believe all children have the right to the determinants of health and to excellent healthcare, Our main activities are to provide a clinical and advocacy network (CAN)  by providing the support for professionals in Malawi who provide care for children and this includes the provision of up to date, evidence-based education for all cadres.

We support quality improvement through research and audit and we collaborate with partners who share our goals.

We also promote children's rights through advocacy at national and international forums.

Our structure includes the executive committee (7 members) and four other committees. The executive is led by the president, Dr Mac Mallewa and the vice president Dr Ajib Phiri.
